RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT WITH PUBLIC ADMINISTRATIONS AND RELEVANT AGENCIES

Gas Natural Fenosa

SPEED UP LICENSES FOR STREET WORKS

THE CHALLENGE

Gas Natural Fenosa needed an integrated, user-friendly IT system to manage relationships with public administration. There were two main problems: setting internal priorities and improving license follow-up of license requests in the different administrations.

They needed to optimize costs in processes entailing 1,186 councils, 230 infrastructure operators such as ADIF, REE and Confederaciones Hidrográficas, and 28 delegations of the Department of Industry, Energy and Tourism. The company managed about 15,500 processes a year.

PROJECT DIRECTION BASED ON CUSTOMER NEEDS

GAS NATURAL FENOSA REQUIREMENTS:

  • Unify the internal administrative management, which was complex because they had several applications in different areas.
  • Support third-party planning, coordination and management in approved available windows.
  • Enhance communication with agencies, using specific procedures and formats.
  • Enhance coordination with supporting operators and subcontractors.

RESULTS

They improved coordination among license-processing agencies in each town.

We achieved an almost complete electronic management with public administrations and other agencies: another step towards Gas Natural digital transformation.

At a technical level, queries on project parameters and related documentation were facilitated. This improved compliance with SLAs related to managed services and allowed for a greater control over infrastructure maintenance.
